Specifically for escape and rescue routes
Escape route high-speed doors are specially equipped for use in escape and rescue routes.
Either the door opens extremely quickly through fail-safe motion detectors as soon as people approach, or it remains in the open position in the event of a power outage or malfunction.
The door system regularly performs an automatic function test to ensure it operates in an emergency.
Opening without power using a counterweight
Escape-route high-speed doors can, for example, be connected to an existing fire alarm system and opened on request. If this occurs at the same time as or in connection with a power failure, escape-route doors open automatically using counterweights, just like sliding fire doors. The door independently monitors and tests this function.
Fastest door movement, all activation devices
During daytime operation, the high-speed door opens automatically for each vehicle or pedestrian passage and closes again as quickly as possible. All common activation devices, such as motion detectors, induction loops and pull-cord switches, can be connected for automatic operation.
Area monitoring, safety around the door
As the door systems usually close automatically, area monitoring is recommended to protect people and property. Unlike other doors, opening during normal operation is triggered by motion detectors connected in a fail-safe configuration.
Printed door curtains
Numerous optional extras are available on request. This allows the doors to be tailored precisely to the conditions on site. A designer door version is also available. In this case, the curtain is individually printed. - More than a plain industrial design.
Note on ‘approval’ for escape and rescue routes:
Upward-opening doors do not comply with the currently applicable standards for doors in escape and rescue routes.
Doors in escape and rescue routes are neither products requiring approval nor products eligible for approval. An approval certificate or similar is therefore not applicable. However, under workplace regulations, the operator must comply with all relevant standards for the equipment and condition of the premises. Their use should therefore be coordinated with the local authority.
Manufacturer's declaration
On request, we will issue a manufacturer's declaration for your specific application. This is issued for the particular order and confirms that the specified door system is suitable for use in escape and rescue routes.
