High-end activation and safety protection for high-speed doors
The BEA LZR-Widescan (R) meets every requirement.
It covers a large area in front of the door with 7 laser curtains.
The Widescan covers the 3 most important main functions:
- Door opening
- Approach-area monitoring and property protection
- optimised personnel protection
By using different lasers, it is possible to create a 3D image of the surroundings, detect vehicle heights and mask out the floor at a defined height. The widely used infrared technology for monitoring the approach area reaches its inherent technological limits here.
What benefits does the Widescan offer you?
- Protection of the closing plane (red area in the illustration)
In addition to the standard intelligent light curtain technology (link) use the Widescan to cover the area above 2500 mm from floor level as well.
This function detects obstacles in the opening that are located entirely above 2,5 m.
Depending on the installation situation, Widescan may allow you to dispense with the use of the intelligent light curtain technology (link) to opt out, although its functions will then no longer be available. - Approach-area safety protection (yellow area in the illustration)
Monitoring the surrounding area ensures that the door system does not close while people and/or vehicles remain in the safety zone.
The key advantage is that this allows you to reduce the door's hold-open time to 1-3 seconds - because the door remains open for as long as the safety area and closing plane are occupied, then closes immediately afterward.
Vehicle height can also be detected. - Opening (green area in the illustration)
Naturally, Widescan also opens your door, much like a radar motion detector. Alternatively, you can set up a virtual pull switch, without needing a support bracket projecting 3 metres.
