AluLine ASE high-speed doors
Description and details
The industrial building door that prevents drafts
The ASE aluminium high-speed rolling door is designed and certified in accordance with EN 13241/1, the product standard for industrial doors. The investment quickly pays for itself. Fast door opening saves time and reduces energy costs for heating or cooling. Your employees are off sick less often because workstations near the door are protected from draughts. The door's operating costs are minimal because its drive components and tension-spring assistance keep the motor's power consumption low.
High wind loads
Significant space and cost savings, as only one door is required.
Solid, self-supporting side guide tracks. Galvanised steel or anodised aluminium.
Smooth, rapid door travel using frequency inverter technology.
minimal energy and heat loss.
Generously sized, maintenance-free tension springs integrated into the sides of the door frame.
Easy replacement of individual roller door slats.
High wind resistance in accordance with DIN.
Low maintenance costs thanks to uncomplicated construction (easy access to all moving components through side maintenance hatches).
High safety through an integrated photoelectric sensor and safety edge or light curtain
Available in all RAL colours.
Vision and ventilation slats can be installed as complete rows or in individual arrangements.
Self-supporting construction
The easy-to-install side frames are made of high-quality anodized aluminum or can be powder-coated on request. AluLine ASE-L doors for food applications can also be supplied in stainless steel. A geared motor connected directly to the winding shaft drives the door. On AluLine ASE-S models, tension springs concealed in the side sections assist the drive motor.
The entire door system is installed as a self-supporting unit standing on the floor. Only the wind loads that arise are transferred into the facade. A heavy steel frame around the opening is therefore unnecessary.
Tension springs (AluLine ASE-S only) are designed to be extremely heavy-duty and durable. Both side sections open easily to provide access to the belts and tension springs. The springs can be retensioned easily through the door controller.
Non-contact safety
AluLine high-speed doors are supplied with concealed intelligent light curtain technology as standard.
A particularly important technology for doors as heavy as these.
What is ‘intelligent light curtain technology’?
- Active travel-path monitoring
While the door is moving, the door position reported by the drive is compared with the actual position of the door curtain. This comparison uses the door curtain position reported by the light curtains.
This detects abnormal door leaf movement after just a few cm of travel and triggers a suitable response. - Obstacle distance detection
If an obstacle enters the closing plane within the lower 2,5 m of the door height, its position is reported and compared with the door position. This determines the distance between the obstacle and the door, allowing hard or gentle braking as appropriate.
Particularly with heavy doors, avoiding unnecessary emergency braking has proved extremely effective. This reduces strain on all components.
The door curtain
Free-running door curtain and rubber elements for noise reduction
The door curtain consists of extruded aluminium slats fitted with sliding blocks on the left and right. The freely moving curtain allows the slats to deflect, thereby preventing heavy loads on the side sections. A specially manufactured rubber profile is inserted between the individual slats for sound insulation. This considerably reduces the usual operating noise.
The straight slat profile forms a particularly tight seal against the side sections. This reduces the ingress of cold air to the absolute minimum necessary.
The controller
The variable frequency drive control enables the door to start smoothly and quickly and approach its end position gently. This frequency inverter allows opening and closing speeds to be programmed to suit the requirements of the door. The control system is designed for straightforward expansion, e.g. for airlock control, traffic light control or connection to existing on-site systems and controls. Operating and fault messages can be read on a plain-text display on the control cabinet.
The controller also works with the intelligent light curtains and the drive. This enables it to detect the distance between an obstacle and the door leaf and decelerate as gently as possible. Numerous diagnostic functions allow both individual light curtain beams and the overall performance to be checked.
Each controller is equipped with its own software, precisely tailored to the relevant door.
Exclusive to ProLine and AluLine: intelligent light curtains
Door control, encoder and light curtain in constant communication. This tells the door:
- Improper door conditions (jamming, skewing, derailment from the guide rail and much more)
- The actual door position in relation to the intended door position
- The distance between the obstacle and the actual door position
- The quality of each individual light beam
