SENSOR FOR OPENING HIGH-SPEED DOORS

The FALCON is a radar motion detector. Direction detection optimizes the operation of the high-speed door. The FALCON detects all movement, but pedestrians and parallel traffic can be filtered out if required. Filtering out parallel traffic helps reduce false triggering.

  • The planar antenna developed by BEA and digital signal evaluation provide interference immunity and a stable detection field.
  • Precision and performance depend on the installation height:
    The FALCON with its 9-element antenna offers optimal detection at an installation height of 3,5m up to 7m.
    At an installation height of 2m to 3,5m, the FALCON XL with its 3-element antenna provides better and more precise field coverage.

Pedestrian filtering

On request - depending on the sensor setting ...

  • Only vehicles are detected; pedestrians are filtered out
  • Vehicles and pedestrians are detected

This can encourage people to use the adjacent pedestrian door. It would help meet the ASR requirement for "physical separation of vehicle routes and pedestrian routes".

Cross-traffic filtering

Unwanted door openings can be avoided by filtering out cross traffic (parallel traffic)

At an installation height of 3,5 m: approx. 4 x 2,5 m
